Oat Bread

This is very easy gluten-free* bread: easy to make, no yeast required, no kneading or proving involved, and a joy to eat.

 

We bake it in the air fryer, so the cooking time is less than an hour, and it's just 6 ingredients:

- 300g oats regular porridge oats (*gluten-free certified if required)

- 20g coarsely ground flaxseed 

- 20g psyllium husk (finely ground)

- 10g oat bran (again, gf certified if required)

- 1 to 1.5 tsp salt if preferred

- 400ml luke warm water

 

Place all dry ingredients into a bowl, add water, mix into a stiff dough, leave for about 5 minutes, then form the dough into a loaf.   

 

We place the loaf in a shallow baking tin and put it in our air fryer at 185°C for about 50 minutes, turning halfway through. Leave to cool on a mesh tray when finished.
