About the event

In this class, breathing instructors Annette & Graham Henry take you on a tour of the wonders of correct, and incorrect breathing.

What does incorrect breathing look like and why are so many of us no longer breathing as well as we did when we were babies? 

We  take a brief look at some of the areas of health and good or poor performance that can be impacted by breathing:

-  Anxiety and stress

-  Asthma, bronchoconstriction and and other respiratory disorders

-  Blood pressure

-  Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

-  Female breathing

-  Focus and Concentration

-  Physical Performance

-  Posture

-  Sleep

-  Snoring

We’ll also give you several good reasons for wanting to breathe through your nose at rest, during sleep and, to some extent, even during exercise. And we’ll outline why you might want to become intimately (re-)acquainted with your diaphragm.

We’ll end by making some recommendations which you can apply whether or not your breathing needs a little help to get you back on track, or you simply need some ideas about how to breathe to best respond to external circumstances.

And we'll provide information about how we can help on a more individualised basis. Annette and Graham are both certified Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructors and Annette is also a certified Buteyko Breathing Instructor.
